The biomass pellet mill, with a capacity of 2 tonnages per hour (tph), is the first professional pellet mill in the Jammu and Kashmir territory. It will be built in Srinagar, the largest city and the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. It is the northernmost city of India to have over one million people.
Jammu and Kashmir are one of the coldest regions in India, with frost and snow, and sub-zero night temperatures across the region that can drop to minus 6 degrees Celsius in Srinagar. The production of the pellets will activate a whole new segment for domestic heating purposes.
